Attending health care reform events or hosting one of your own is a great way to get the message out about the important role maternity care plays in our US health care system and how CPMs are part of the solution for providing high quality health-promoting cost effective maternity care in our US health system.
Many organizations are promoting health care reform events and service projects. Visit President Obama's Organizing for America site to find some health care reform events and projects near you. Even if your not a big fan of health reform these conversations around the US health care system are an historic opportunity to engage your community about the important care midwives, and CPMs in particular, provide and how access to CPMs must not be limited by health care reform legislation.
